Day One of Sri Lanka 4 day tour

On the first day of Sri Lanka 4 day tour, you will meets and greet by the tour representative and leave for Mirissa via Galle and Bentota. Usually, the pick-up location should be in Colombo it can be a hotel in Colombo or the Bandaranaike international airport. The vehicle will be reporting to the pickup location at 08.00 am. If you not based in Colombo but still like to join Sri Lanka 4 day tour, you can request the pick from other cities such as Negombo, Kandy we can still arrange your pick-but there will be surcharge base on the number of additional kilometres.

On the way to beaches of Mirissa, there are many interesting places to visit such as Madu rives, Sea turtle farm, Bentota beach, Hikkaduwa beach etc. But due to the time constraints, the tour itinerary does not include some of them.

Mask Museum

Ariyapala mask museum of Ambalangoda is one of the best places to see the traditional mask and learn the low-country and up-country dance forms. Ariyapala mask museum is the only museum in Sri Lanka, which is dedicated to mas industry. It has a large collection of very valuable and ancient masks. The masks had been used in rituals and folk dancing even today in some remote areas those rituals are been practised. At the museum, you will get a free guided tour allowing you to learn the history, usage of various kind of masks.

The coral reefs at Hikkaduwa is located in shallow water and they are not more than 5 meters deep. Venturing on a glass bottom boat is the best way to explore this fascinating underwater world. In the evening you arrive at the beach resort in Mirissa. Mirissa is one of the least explored beautiful beach in Southern Sri Lanka. Whale watching Mirissa

Usually, the whale watching trip starts early morning (06.30 am) and you need to report to the harbour at around 06.15. Due to this reason and to curtail the transfer time from hotel to Mirissa harbour we always accommodate you in a Mirssa hotel. The time taken to reach Mirissa harbour from your hotel is only 5 minutes and thereby we can make sure you reach the harbour well on time, in fact, you also can have longer sleep.

You depart from the beach hotel early morning for a whale watching trip off the sea of Mirissa. This adventure lasts between 1 to 4 hours, all depends on the time spent to spot these giants. Breakfast will be served on board and all safety gears are provided onboard. The whale watching may not be offered on some days due to the rough sea, especially during the south-west monsoon, from April to November. 

After the whale watching trip, it is time to leave for Yala national park. Which is further down the track. You will be able to reach the hotel in Yala after about 2 hours drive. Check-in the hotel and leisure. The Yala safari is taking places in the afternoon and you will start the journey at around 14.00 hrs from the hotel. Please be kindly informed the safari might even take on the day 3 in case you get late to reach the hotel in Yala.

Yala national park spans over 979 square kilometres of remote land with a wide range of flora in the south-east corner of the island. this park is utterly beautiful with lakes, beaches, huge grass plains, rugged mountains, and valleys. the park is picturesquely located bordering the Indian ocean and it is home to many dozens of leopards. Yala is the best national park in the world to spot leopards due to the large concentration of leopards in a small geographical area. Here you can witness many other animals such as elephant, deer, sloth bear, monkey, crocodile and a large number of bird species apart from the leopard.

Day Three

On the 3rd day of the 3 nights 4 days Sri Lanka package tour, you will suppose to drive to the mountains of Sri Lanka. You will encounter green-capped mountains, deep ravines, cascading waterfalls, rivers, gigantic lakes and never-ending tea gardens all along the way.

Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Bandarawela, are three popular hill stations of Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya lies at 6000 feet above sea level is also called “Little England”. As this is where the British built themselves a home away from home. The winding road that leads to the hill country through tea plantations that carpet the hills to extents beyond sight, the waterfalls that meander cascading down the hills, the misty valleys and scenery are certainly awe-inspiring.

Seetha Amman temple is a Hindu temple and visited by Hindu devotees. The temple is small in size but large in religious perspective. The history of Seetha Amman temple goes back many centuries. Ramboda waterfall is a beautiful waterfall in Sri Lanka, located about 45 km from your current location (Nuwara Eliya). Tthe waterfall is conveniently located on Kandy-Nuwara Eliya main road at Ramboda pass, Pussellwa. Ramboda fall is 109 meters in height and one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the island.

Day Four

On the last day of this 3 nights 4 days Sri Lanka package tour, you will encounter the city of Kandy, which is the cultural centre and last kingdom of the Sinhalese monarchy. There are several places in Kandyy worth your attention such as Tempel of the tooth relic, royal botanical gardens.

You can also include the upcountry rail journey to the same 3 nights 4 days Sri Lanka package. If you wish to add the rail journey there will be a small surcharge and there will be a slight change in the itinerary.

Tea factory is the first highlight of the day and you will stop around 30 minutes after starting your journey from the hotel. Here you can witness the entire process of tea manufacturing in Sri Lanka. You also get a freshly brewed cup of Ceylon tea manufactured at this tea factory. After visiting the tea factory it is time to buy a pack of unblended pure Ceylon tea if you are a tea drinker. After visiting the tea factory continue alone the Nuwara Eliya-Kandy main road, but there is a high possibility of making several stops on the way because you are passing one of the most beautiful regions in the country. A ruled in Kandy up to 1815 although the rest of the island was under the British regime. Finally, it was ceded to them by the Chieftains of Kandy who were disappointed over the king’s cruel deeds. Today Kandy is one of the most important cities owing to the presence of the Temple of the Sacred tooth of the Buddha.

The temple of the tooth relic or the Dalada Maliga as it is popularly known to local people is the most sacred Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. the temple is located at the centre of the city near the Kandy lake.
