Visa-free travel in Sri Lanka kicks off for seven countries
The cabinet of Sri Lanka has taken a historic step by approving visa-free travel for visitors from Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, India, and Russia, valid from now until March 31, 2024. The new visa waiver program is expected to increase demand for Sri Lanka tour packages and Sri Lanka holiday packages from the seven Asian nations chosen in the program.

Before visiting Sri Lanka, Indian tourists have to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) document. Travelers can now have a hassle-free journey without the need for previous documents, saving time and money, thanks to the introduction of the visa-free travel initiative.
