Condé Nast Traveller ranks Sri Lanka in top 20 list of countries to travel in 2022

The island nation has been able to win another international accolade in 2022 from the online travel community platform WorldPackers.com. According to WorldPackers.com, Sri Lanka is one of the safest holiday destinations in the world. Sri Lanka has been able to win another prestigious international accolade and ranked among the top 20 list of the Readers’ Choice Awards 2022 by Condé Nast Traveller. Earlier Sri Lanka became the best holiday destination in the world, however, Sri Lanka has slid down to 17th place in the list for 2022.
Sri Lanka has able to receive 88.01 points in the survey and ranked between Sweden and Israel, those 2 countries secured 16th and 18th places in the list respectively.
For the year 2021, Sri Lanka is positioned in the 5th place in the list of most favorite countries to travel by the Conde Nast Traveller. Despite the little setback due to political and economic downturn Sri Lanka has been able to rank ahead of most popular tourist destinations such as Turkey, Australia, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the 2022 edition of the Readers’ Choice Awards, the top three destinations to travel to in 2022 are Portugal with a score of 91.22, Japan – with 91.17, and Thailand – with 90.46.
