If the tour starts at 7 am as it is planned you will reach Kandy by 01.00 pm. There are 2 major stops along the way the first stop is at the Pinnawala elephant orphanage and the 2nd stop will be at the spice garden.

The tour goes in a clockwise direction after starting from Colombo, therefore, you will stop at the Pinnawala elephant orphanage first. Pinnawala elephant orphanage is tucked away in Kegalle city about 85 km from Colombo. The program does not include many activities today, however, the vehicle makes a few stops during the trip in a few places such as St. Clairs waterfall, and Devon fall. 2 hours from Nuwara Eliya is Kitulgala, which is a popular adventure holiday destination on the island.
